I N S T R U C T I O N S
- Squeeze out a fair amount of each color on your paint palette. Paint the top half of your canvas with Cobalt Blue.
- Mix the colors Cerulean Blue and a little bit of Titanium White together. These colors will indicate the mountain shape. Using your fan brush, paint in up and down strokes as shown in the painting above.
- Grab a dry medium size brush and brush in criss cross motions. This technique will help blend the colors.
- With a large brush, mix together Black and a little bit of Phthalo Green together. Mix till well combined. Paint the lower half of the canvas with this color.
- Once finished, take a fan brush to paint trees. You are welcome to paint as many trees as you like.
- Using the same brush, mix Phthalo Green and a little bit of Lemon Yellow together. Once combined, use the brush to paint some highlights on the trees.
- With a round brush, gently tap the canvas with that same color in the lower right corner. This will add highlights to the bushes.
- To start the waterfall, mix the colors Prussian Blue and Titanium White with a small paintbrush. As shown in the painting above, in a downward direction let your brush caress through the canvas.
- At the bottom of the waterfall, paint in up and down strokes going from left to right. This will create a misty illusion.
- With the same brush, mix together Titanium White and a little bit of Black together. Paint the sides of the waterfall to create a cliff.
- Let the oil painting dry for two days. Woohoo your painting is finished!
