Pom Pom Rug

Get creative and learn how to make a DIY Pom Pom rug using low-cost materials. Customize the colors and you’ll have the perfect fluffy rug on your floor. 

Materials Needed

» Yarn

» Nonslip rug or Rya Tie Mesh Fabric

» Scissors

» Ruler

» 2 paper toilet rolls or 1 paper towel roll 

 ∗TIPS: Using sharp scissors, helps to make cutting easier. 

Instructions: 

1. Gather your materials.

2. Select color of yarn. 

3. Cut paper towel roll in half, and set two rolls next to each other. 

4. Wrap yarn 25 times around the two rolls. Carefully, cut the end of the yarn, then pull the yarn. 

5. Repeat step 3 & 4 until your rug has been entirely filled.  

6. Cut rug mat to the desired size. 

7. Thread pom-pom ends through the mat. Tie a tiny knot at the ends of each thread. Fill in the mat. Cut the ends of the tails off.
